Rachel Pologe writes contemporary romance novels about complicated women falling in love.

Rachel has spent the last decade working in television writers’ rooms, but books were her first passion.

In second grade, Rachel’s teacher brought snack foods into the class, and told the students to each write a story about the food. The other students wrote about eating the snacks, and Rachel wrote a first person narrative about the journey of a piece of dough named Dolly becoming a pretzel by a baker called “The Painmaker.”

In sixth grade, a popular boy said something nice and unprompted about her creative writing assignment, and she’s been riding that high ever since.

NOW THAT WE DON’T TALK, Rachel’s debut romance novel, will be published by Berkley in Fall 2026.

Originally from Baltimore, Rachel now lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
